Portland Digital Video Surveillance DVR – Search, Save and Archive
www.alliedfireandsecurity.com Hello, I’m Eric Amsbury with Allied Fire & Security Portland. Today we are going to discuss Open Eye DVR’s. A DVR is a Digital Video Recorder. This is used in place of the old school VCR where the videos are being stored digitally. We’re going to show you a couple little quick steps on how to review and show your playback and watch your images on the cameras. This is your standard home screen. These are your cameras, we have more cameras on the system. To review a camera, you’re going to come up here and you’re going to click on the search icon. That’s going to take you in the search screen. You will know you’re in the search screen by the banner at the top. Next what you want to do is you want to select the camera from across the bottom. You can view more than one camera at a time. It speeds it up if you just view one camera. So we’ll pick a camera. You will see we have fast forward, play, play forward and backwards. We have some speed settings here as well. What we want to do is we want to come down what looks like a calendar. Click on the calendar. It’s going to bring up a calendar. In the calendar itself, the red day is the current day we are on, the blue day indicates recorded video for that day. So we are going to pick today. Click on that day, you will see the current day that you are searching (it happens to be in the lower right hand corner here) also brings up the time.
